Tightly Knit Group of Successful Entrepreneurs
& Angel Investors
About Us
We are a group of successful entrepreneurs that are bonded by a common past. We are passionate about growing businesses and know from hands-on experience what it takes to win. We have extensive experience and professional networks in digital marketing, e-commerce, and software development. Now as investors and mentors we are looking to leverage our capital, knowledge, and contacts to help other entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.

All members of Beyond Hook Ventures have roots that take them back to one of two successful startups, Beyond Interactive or HookLogic (thus our name). Both of these startups began as simple ideas but grew to global multi-million dollar businesses with hundreds of employees and had successful exits. At first we started as a group of friends that simply shared angel investment opportunities, but over time we realized that our collective experience and extensive networks made us uniquely qualified to identify and help grow digital businesses. Thus we created Beyond Hook Ventures.

Our Proud Roots
Beyond Interactive (now Mediacom/WPP) was a digital advertising agency founded in 1995, that was acquired by Grey Advertising in 1999. The business grew from fledgling startup to one of the premier global digital ad agencies with over 300 employees working across 5 continents. Beyond was known for its data-driven approach to optimized media planning and buying. Key clients included Oracle, P&G, Reebok, Hasbro & United Airlines. Over the years, hundreds of digital advertising professionals got their start at Beyond Interactive, many of whom went on to be founders and senior executives in digital marketing and e-commerce.
HookLogic (Now Criteo) pioneered the idea of transforming e-commerce sites into lucrative advertising platforms, providing retailers new profitable revenue streams while enabling brands to advertise their products to in-market shoppers. The company partnered with many of the world’s largest retail and travel sites, including Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Macy's and Expedia and worked with thousands of leading advertisers, including Microsoft, Hasbro, L'Oreal, and Marriott. Founded in 2004, HookLogic raised over $40 million from investors, including Bain Capital Ventures, Intel Capital and Fung Capital, and grew to nearly 200 employees across 6 countries before being acquired by Criteo for $250 million in 2016. HookLogic also successfully launched and divested two business units that remain successful today, including AutoHook which joined Urban Science and the HookLogic travel division which became part of Koddi.
